All league paperwork and money must be finalized by Tuesday's meeting or you will be in jeopardy of forfieting games

 

 

Managers Meeting 2-20-08

6:30 PM

The next Manager’s Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20th at 6:30p.
The location is One Park Square building across from the Marriott at Louisiana and I-40.  There are two identical buildings there.  Ours has the "Wachovia Securities" sign across the top.  We are the one that is closer to Buca di Beppo.

Directions from Big-I:

- East on I-40 to Louisiana

- Exit at Louisiana and turn left

- First light is Americas Parkway, turn left

- Go past Steak n Ale and 1st parking lot.

- Just past the Two Park Square tower is a small parking lot that is shared by the two buildings.  If that is full there are two other parking options

- Option 1: Park across the street in the big lot West of the two buildings

- Option 2: Continue driving around the two buildings on Americas Parkway.

On the Southeast corner of Amreicas Parkway and Indian School, there is a covered parking structure where there is visitor parking on the 1st floor.

E. Hardball magazine-To the managers: please bring someone from your team to submit to magazine. Jason Brinsfield & Wayne Sprague, please email Paula Creel (creelcubbies@comcast.net) a paragraph about your 2007 season and championship run to submit to Hardball magazine.

F. 35+ in MSBL league (Wood bat only-MSBL 4 or 5 teams, All pitchers must be 35+. Other players can be younger.) To be discussed later.

G. Taos team (Ft. Marcy?)- Interleague once a month, Double-header with MSBL team. Also 45+ team (Bret’s deal).

H. Wood bats-How many wood bat games this year-MANAGERS TO VOTE ON THIS TOPIC.

I. Baseballs-$ vs. quality. (Joe Chester’s wife @ Gardenswartz team sales)
Paula- Ron Warren @ Ultimate Dugout has the A1010 for $39/doz (includes logo on ball and NO FREIGHT) 4-7 weeks delivery time. We are probably going with the A1010.

J. Casey Classic-No updates, Advertising/Promoting, “we have 10 teams that are not local that have shown interest.” What about a NM All-Star team; Age groups (18+ wood, 18+,25+,40+open)

K. Harley Raffle- We need to buy the bike as soon as possible to display (also display in Hardball or on the National website) Currently posted on HarleyDavidsonRaffels.com. Give one or two books to each team to sell. Raffle to be held on League Championship Sunday. “Winner responsible for tax, title and license.” SELL TICKETS AT BARS AND EVENTS.

N. League Organization-We need to get in touch with an accountant to determine how we want to organize the league (Non-profit, LLC, S-corp.)

-League-wide Tryout- YES -Sunday, February 10, 2008 @ 2p @ Valley-WE NEED HELP PUTTING UP FLYERS.
Ticket Sales are also marketing.
