NM MSBL/MABL to Purchase Hoosier Woodbats for League Teams
March 29, 2007
The NM MSBL/MABL league has decided to purchase wood bats from the Hoosier Bat Company of Valparaiso, Indiana to accomodate the addition of woodbat games for the 2007 season. This season, the second game of double headers, all interleague games and the classic "Father's Day Game" will all be woodbat only. The league will purchase 10 bats per team for use during these games to ease the cost of players buying extra bats.
The Hoosier Bats come in an array of sizes in length and are custumizable. Models the league will purchase are the HB 105, 125, 145, 215, 235, 315 and 325. Sizes available come in 32, 33 and 34 inches. Handles sizes are from 2 1/2 - 2 19/32". Barrel sizes come in sizes from 15/16 - 1". To check out the line of Hoosier bats, Click Here.
Wood bat games seem to becoming more popular. The MSBL/MABL has introduced new "Woodbat Divisions" in all their major tournaments. Will it catch on in New Mexico? We will find out.
All managers have been sent an order form which must be filled out by Monday, April 2, 2007 by 9 AM and sent to Bret Helenius . Managers who do not fill out the form will be given a basic array of bat models and sizes.
